Samsung Gear S2 and S2 Classic up for preorder in Canada; ships October 2nd

The Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S2 classic smartwatches, which were made official late last month and showcased at this year's IFA in Berlin, are now up for pre-order in Canada.

Best Buy Canada is currently taking the pre-orders, and the listings show a release date of October 2. As for the price, the Gear S2 carries a tag of CAD 400 ($301), while the Classic variant will set you back CAD 430 ($324).

Specs-wise, the Gear S2 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core CPU, and sports a 1.2” fully circular Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels and 302ppi. It comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal memory, and packs in a 250mAh battery.

Connectivity options for the wearable include Wi-Fi: 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and NFC. The smartwatch, which is IP68 dust proof and water resistant, runs the latest version of Tizen operating system.
