Xiaomi Mi 4c said to come with Type-C USB port

Just over a week after a leak revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 4c smartphone - which is expected to be unveiled on September 22 - will feature a USB Type-C connector, there are reports that the device will also come with an infrared port, which will be used as a security feature.

Specs-wise, the handset is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 808 SoC, and sport a 5-inch 1080p display. It is said to come with 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB memory options, and pack in a 3,080mAh battery.

In terms of camera, the Mi 4c is said to feature a 13MP rear unit and a 5MP front shooter. It reportedly runs the company's latest MIUI 7 mobile OS, and is expected to carry a price tag in the range of $200-$220.
