Apple Releases OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 Beta 1

Apple has today released a new beta version of OS X 10.11 El Capitan, with the first beta 1 version of 10.11.2 now being pushed out to testers just a week after the final, stable launch of OS X 10.11.1 was released to public.
Downloadable via either the Software Update portion of the Mac App Store or the Apple Developer Portal, this new version of El Capitan is likely to contain at least a handful of bug fixes as well as potentially security updates to a system that is currently iterating about as quickly as it can. Apple’s release notes single out Graphics, Mail, Wi-Fi, Calendar, USB, Notes, Photos, and our favourite way of finding just about anything on a Mac, Spotlight, as receiving particular attention this time around.

Build 15C27e of 10.11.2 update is ready for those eligible to download it and while it’s all well and good living life in the fast lane updating to latest builds of beta releases here and there, we wouldn’t suggest average joes installing beta builds of an operating system on their main primary computers.

All that being said, if the version of OS X that you are currently running on your Mac happens to be an earlier beta release, then getting the latest beta 1 of 10.11.2 update downloaded and installed as soon as possible on your machine probably wouldn’t be the worst idea you had this week. If you’re already on the beta train, make sure you keep it updated as much as possible. It’s usually worth it.
